The 2024 Youth Volunteer Program under the project titled “Establishing a Sustainable Standardized Healthcare System for Water Buffaloes to Support Ecotourism”

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya organized the 2024 Youth Volunteer Program under the initiative titled “Establishing a Sustainable Standardized Healthcare System for Water Buffaloes to Support Ecotourism.” On September 18, 2024, the Faculty implemented the project, which integrates teaching, learning, and academic services in managing the health and reproductive systems of the water buffaloes in Talay Noi. Activities included health check-ups, disease diagnosis, nutritional supplements, fertility assessments prior to artificial insemination, and semen quality testing.

The project was led by Dr. Adisorn Srijaras, Dr. Sunisa Kongthong, and Dr. Natcharit Ruekgam, along with eight sixth-year veterinary students. Key participants included Mr. Sompong Wankong (President of the Water Buffalo Farmers’ Group), Mr. Hirunphong Thorarath (Water Buffalo Farmer), Mr. Prasert Chuthong (Artificial Insemination Officer, Ranot District), Mr. Chamneang Khongphom (Livestock Volunteer, Khuan Khanun District), Mr. Pramot Pirom (Officer, Khuan Khanun District), and Mr. Umnon Chuthong (Veterinary Officer, Khuan Khanun District).
