The 2024 Youth Volunteer Program under the project “Establishing a Sustainable Standardized Health Service System for Water Buffaloes in Support of Ecotourism” (5th Edition)

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, organized the 2024 Youth Volunteer Program under the project “Establishing a Sustainable Standardized Health Service System for Water Buffaloes in Support of Ecotourism” (5th Edition). On September 25, 2024, the Faculty carried out the project, which integrates education and academic services in managing the health and reproductive system of buffaloes at Thale Noi. The program involved health check-ups, disease diagnosis, administration of health supplements, fertility assessments prior to artificial insemination, and semen quality testing before insemination.

The team was led by Dr. Khosit Areekit, Assistant Professor Dr. Adisorn Srijaras, Dr. Sunisa Khongthong, and Natcharit Ruekgam, along with eight 6th-year veterinary students. Additionally, local collaborators included Mr. Chamniang Khongphom (Livestock Volunteer, Khuan Khanun District), Mr. Pramote Pirom (District Officer, Khuan Khanun), and Mr. Umnon Chuthong (Veterinary Officer, Khuan Khanun).
