On July 17, 2025, the Student Association of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, organized the annual Wai Kru Ceremony (VETRUTS “Wan Tha Bucha Khru”) for the academic year 2025. The event was held at Lecture Room 4, Small Animal Hospital Building, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus (Thung Yai).
The ceremony was honored by the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Dhirawit Chanthep, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, who presided over the event. Faculty executives, lecturers, staff members, first-year students, and representatives from all academic years participated in the ceremony to pay respect and express gratitude to their teachers, in accordance with Thai tradition, and to mark the auspicious beginning of the new academic year.
The event featured a ceremonial blessing of textbooks by the dean and the awarding of certificates to students with outstanding academic performance, recognizing their dedication and encouraging continued excellence.
The Wai Kru Ceremony is an important tradition that reflects the cultural values upheld by the faculty. It promotes morality, ethics, and gratitude—core principles of the veterinary profession—and strengthens the bond between students and their instructors.
