Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, RMUTSV, Participates in the “Royal Veterinary Project” in Satun Province

During July 23–25, 2025, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV), led by a team of faculty members— Vice dean Wipawee Saengsoi, D.V.M. Porntip Thongmanee, D.V.M. Niramol Thongtem, D.V.M. Apinya Anupapprasert, D.V.M, Ph.D. Sittat Chumsri—accompanied by eight 5th-year veterinary students, participated in the Royal Veterinary Project under the royal initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, for the year 2025, held in Satun Province.

The project aims to deliver proactive veterinary services to people in remote areas, enhance students’ field-based learning experiences, and foster professional collaboration between the Department of Livestock Development and veterinary faculties from other universities.

Throughout the three-day program, the students and faculty members engaged in a range of activities, including:

• Mobile units providing vaccinations, deworming, and nutritional injections for cattle and buffaloes

• Castration of cattle

• Sterilization services for dogs and cats to control stray animal populations

🌿 This invaluable initiative not only improves animal health within local communities but also offers students a unique opportunity to strengthen their practical skills, engage with the community, and truly embody the spirit of volunteer veterinary service.
