Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya Organizes a Community Veterinary Volunteer Project to Promote Public-Mindedness and Support Local Development in Tha Bon Subdistrict

Veterinary Volunteer Community Service and “Warm-Hearted Senior Veterinarians” Project

The Rajamangala Srivijaya Veterinary Volunteer Club for Rural Development (RVV),

under the Student Union of the Faculty of Veterinary Science,

organized the “Veterinary Volunteer Community Service and Warm-Hearted Senior Veterinarians Project”

at Tha Bon Subdistrict Administrative Organization and Wat Sala Luang Bon School,

Tha Bon Subdistrict, Ranot District, Songkhla Province.

The project aimed to provide veterinary academic services to the community while fostering a strong sense of public-mindedness among students and promoting the sustainable return of benefits to society.

Project activities included:

• A rabies vaccination outreach program in Tha Bon Subdistrict, covering 10 villages, with a total of 573 animals vaccinated.

• Public service activities within the school, including painting school buildings, decorating walls to create a more engaging learning environment, and developing educational learning materials to enhance teaching and learning.

• Flood recovery and relief activities in Tha Bon Subdistrict, involving collective efforts to clean public areas and facilities, as well as providing assistance to alleviate the hardships faced by residents affected by flooding.

On this occasion, the project organizers would like to express their sincere appreciation to Tha Bon Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wat Sala Luang Bon School, and all supporting organizations and partners for their kind cooperation and support, which contributed to the successful completion of the project.

This project served as a valuable opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in veterinary professional practice, while also instilling a spirit of volunteerism, social responsibility, and active participation in sustainable community development.
