On March 6, 2025, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV), in collaboration with the Nakhon Si Thammarat Swine Farmers Trade Association, organized a discussion forum on “The Direction of Swine Farming Amidst Crisis: Survival and Opportunities for Southern Swine Farmers.” The event was held as part of the Thung Yai Agriculture Fair 2025 to help farmers understand the challenges of swine farming in the current crisis and how to adapt to the ongoing African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak.
The forum featured expert speakers, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teerawit Janthip, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, RMUTSV; Mr. Apiwat Sincharoenrung, President of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Swine Farmers Association; Mr. Samrong Rakchum, Board Member of Choksukh Phokkhaphan Co., Ltd.; and Dr. Wiwat Choonraksa, Managing Director of Kittiwat Feed Specialist Co., Ltd.
A total of 30 participants attended the event to gain insights and knowledge from industry experts.
