Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya Holds Closing Ceremony and Certificate Presentation for the RUTS and UMK International Collaboration Camp 2026

On 21 May 2026, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), organized the closing ceremony and certificate presentation for participants of the “RUTS and UMK International Collaboration Camp 2026” under the Veterinary and Animal Nourishing Camp activities. The ceremony was held at Pracheep Chuphan Conference Room (Lecture Room 3), Small Animal Hospital Building, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya.

On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr.Dhiravit Chantip, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, RUTS, delivered a congratulatory speech and presented certificates to lecturers and students from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Malaysia, as well as lecturers and students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Agro-Industry, and Faculty of Science and Fisheries Technology. A total of 72 participants from Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya joined the program, engaging in academic and cultural exchange activities from 17–21 May 2026.

Throughout the program, participants took part in a variety of academic and experiential learning activities, including visits to the Small Animal Hospital at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Sai Yai Campus, where they attended lectures and observed operations in various units such as examination rooms, X-ray rooms, and clinical service areas. Participants also witnessed demonstrations by police dogs (K9 units) in explosive and narcotics detection missions conducted by officers from Border Patrol Police Camp 42. The demonstration created great excitement and highlighted the application of animals in national security operations.

In addition, participants visited important learning facilities and research centers within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, including the hydrotherapy pool, Small Animal Hospital, Veterinary Microbiology Laboratory, and the Aquatic Animal Health Research and Clinical Center. These visits provided opportunities for academic exchange and knowledge sharing in veterinary medicine and animal health sciences.

The program also included an educational visit to Nakhon Si Thammarat Livestock Hospital, where participants toured the bull performance testing center (bull training arena) and the reproductive biotechnology center. These activities allowed participants to learn about animal healthcare, breed improvement, and reproductive technologies related to livestock and veterinary practices.

Moreover, the camp featured integrated activities organized by several faculties. Students from the Faculty of Agro-Industry demonstrated beverage preparation and creative drink-mixing techniques while allowing participants to practice hands-on skills. Meanwhile, students from the Faculty of Agriculture conducted demonstrations on whip handling and animal rope-catching techniques, which are essential practical skills in livestock management. These activities attracted significant interest as they combined professional skills with local culture and traditional ways of life.

Another popular activity was horseback riding, which provided students with opportunities to learn the basics of horse care and proper riding control techniques. Participants also visited Krabi Elephant Hospital in Krabi Province, joined a scented candle-making workshop at Innano๊ะ, and explored the natural beauty of the Emerald Pool. These activities promoted learning about local culture, natural resources, and eco-tourism.

The closing ceremony concluded in a warm and memorable atmosphere filled with friendship and mutual appreciation. Participants exchanged academic experiences, cultural perspectives, and established international networks, marking another important step toward sustainable international collaboration in education and research.
